..and auchi 06 was hosted in Edinburgh, why not this one? o:

I was suprised at the change of venue too :o

Edinburgh proved more convenient for a number of reasons and we really lucked out with the venue this year!

We have to prune the forum to a certain extent each year. This year our forum software has been greatly improved on, and we were able to keep a lot of the older topics and posts. Appologies to anyone who has to re-register their username this year.

I love the venue change since i stay in Edinburgh. I've been in the big room in the Hilton and it's perfect for the con.

I wasn't that keen on the change initially due to the choice of hotel cause I thought they'd be a bit more uptight about having a bunch of hyper active anime fans running about but it's quite good to have somewhere nearer a city centre so there's plenty of choices of places to get food from whereas last time it was pretty much the airport.

I'm pretty pleased about it being in Edinburgh as well. Especially since there is a good chinese takeaway on Haymarket =D (yes I do more or less think with my stomach)

I'm slightly gutted that its not at the Airport again this year seeing as it is only a 5 minute drive from my house but atleast Edinburgh is only a hour away, plus I don't need to worry about people I know seeing me dressed up, haha P:

True. Last year it was a five minute walk away from my house and I got plenty weird stares when normal life resumed on Monday.
