Hello, first topic on the forum and I'll be asking my usual question for this year....
What do people want me to do at Auchi, I can run just about anything if given enough notice but I'm especially good at games and the funny. I can do talks on gundams, miniatures, game design, violence and all sorts of gumph. Basically if someone suggests it I'll have a crack at it.
Also for those of you who attended last Auchi this year there will be another mystery star prize that I'll give out again. If you thought the last one was amazing, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Okay, cleaning up this topic for Moley, this isn't "demand every event you want"; if you want BJD events or game tournaments we'd love that, but you should make your own thread and see if you can find interest!
There will be a video games room, but the details of exactly what will be there are down to Myst, I'm sure he'll update us when he can!
Moley usualy runs traditional games, board games, card games etc. panels on the sorts of things he suggested and does comedy/stand up.

Watching him run the games is comedy gold in it's own right.

And don't forget there was the sliding scale of how hungover I was.
And yes Phil I know, it turns out I'm also attending a con in Dublin in August making it 12 cons this year that I'll be attending and gophering at. I'm thinking of starting a blog for it and getting photos.

It'd be really cool if you could have a panel of Japanese speakers or something again. Like, a more mature event run at the same time as something absolutely daft for a change of pace during the weekend. I'm studying Japanese just now and it's always good to hear about the culture from people who've experienced it first hand.
Either that or a japanese speaker, a representative from an anime company and Jan Scott Frazier, because she's an awesome panelist.

Right currently my ideas stand at thus:
#1 How to bring the funny. I was thinking of doing a panel on what makes funny people and things so funny, how to tell a good story or joke, what makes comedy so hard to do right and how to over come stage nerves and forgetting your set. Hopefully by Auchi I should have a fair number of videos of myself and others performing to show you good and bad points from each.
#2 Moley's Grand Adventure For A SUPA SEEEKRET PRIZE!: If you remember last auchi I ran a YuGiOh tournament for a Supar Seekret Prize and a number of people came to me expressing....annoyance that the people who brought decks would get it and not them. Or to quote one congoer "So you're the faggot that's giving away a Wii to a faggot who plays cards." So this time I'm offering tickets to people who do cool things at various little events I've got planned over the weekend, whoever has the most tickets at the end of the con wins the prize. Simple eh?
#3 How to Games Monkey: If you're interested in making games or designing them for a living I'm happy to run a panel on what goes into making a game fun. It'll be a set of simple tasks and the like to show people how to create an asset within a game and then balance it using a game framework called Concept that I've developed. By the end of the panel you'll be able to make a start on your own stuff within the framework and then who knows?
#4 Traditional Gamery: I won't be running a room for the duration of Auchi, I plan to get far far too drunk for that but I'll be happy to bring along some games for the chillout room and run things from time to time for people to learn how to play games and have some fun. With any luck there will also be some games I have for playtest there so you can help me out on my journey to making some awesome fun games for you guys.
Please reply with any ideas if you have them and I look forward to seeing people at Auchi.

Yugioh would be hilarious, even if I have to buy a 5 quid dck the night before.
However, being a noob at the game and a severe lack of motorcycle means I'll have to double check the rules every turn!
I'm mainly a magic player these days and would love to give people a few games.
